About Us

Since being founded in 1896 by a local chapter of the International Order of the King’s Daughters and Sons, King’s Daughters Hospital has been caring for our community. What began as an act of kindness by a nondenominational group of women is now, 110 years later, a community hospital. We are an independent, not-for-profit hospital licensed for 150 beds and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations.

King’s Daughters Hospital has an annual average of 800 births, approximately 35,000 outpatient visits and 4,000 inpatients. Our employees number close to 400. Our medical staff consists of 100 physicians representing 30 specialties. Many of our physicians are affiliated with King’s Daughters Clinics.
