Patient and Visitors’ Center

Information for visitors

To enhance recovery, it is important for patients to receive as much rest and relaxation as possible. For that reason, we ask that friends and relatives adhere to the suggested visiting hours. Children visiting the hospital should be attended at all times.

Visiting Hours

  • Medical/Surgical Unit (fourth floor): When accompanied by an adult, children may visit.

  • Critical Care Unit (second floor): Visitors are limited to 2 at a time for 15 minutes each hour. Children are not allowed in the CCU area, but can wait in the waiting area.

  • Center for Women’s Health (third floor): Visitation in this area is flexible. Fathers and grandparents are welcome to visit anytime. Siblings are encouraged to come see you and the new baby for a brief visit. Visitors may be asked to leave the room during treatments or physician visits. Depending on your condition or treatment, visitors may need to be limited and telephone calls encouraged. Please ask your nurse to restrict visitors and phone calls when you need to rest.

  • Surgical Care Center (fifth floor): Our surgical care center is for outpatient surgical patients. Visitors can accompany you when you are admitted to this floor.

Smoking

King’s Daughters Hospital is a tobacco-free campus. Tobacco use is prohibited in all areas of the hospital.
